A partner at Alegria & Barovick LLP, attorney Andrew Barovick handles criminal defense and personal injury cases. Andrew Barovick also serves his community by donating time to Volunteer New York!’s Hunger Relief Corps (VHRC).

VHRC fights hunger in Westchester and Rockland. The corps provides hunger relief to homebound seniors, individuals and families with limited or no means of transportation, and people with chronic diseases. The organization relies on the public to make a difference in the community and has a variety of volunteer opportunities.

VHRC volunteers have the option to package food for delivery or plant and harvest produce. Soup kitchen assistance and performing community assessments are also areas of need. If a volunteer is more comfortable handling administrative duties, the organization welcomes support with answering phones.

Volunteers are asked to commit six months to VHRC. During this period, each volunteer donates time up to twice a month. Completion of orientation is required. The next available orientation takes place on December 10, 2015 in Tarrytown.
