Since 2013, Andrew Barovick has practiced law as a partner in the firm of Alegria & Barovick LLP, which maintains offices in White Plains, New York, and New York City. The firm primarily represents plaintiffs in cases of medical malpractice, personal injury, property damage, and Social Security claims. To stay up to date with the latest developments in these practice areas, Andrew Barovick belongs to several professional organizations, including the White Plains Bar Association.
Established in 1947, the White Plains Bar Association has a membership that includes more than 300 judges, solo practitioners, and law firms. It is one of the largest local bar associations in the state. To inform and engage its members, the Association hosts educational events, luncheon meetings, and holiday parties throughout the year.
A recent luncheon event occurred on April 29, 2015, at the Westchester Hills Golf Club in White Plains. The luncheon was a Continuing Legal Education event on ethics and featured Deborah A. Scalise, Antonia Cipollone, and Matthew Lee-Renert as speakers. Attendees had an opportunity to obtain one credit hour in skills, pending approval by the Westchester Women’s Bar Association, which cosponsored the luncheon. The event included a time to socialize, followed by the lunch and the presentation.
