Since 2013, Andrew Barovick has served as a partner with Alegria & Barovick LLP, which has offices in White Plains, New York, and Manhattan. Recreationally, Andrew Barovick enjoys craft beer, several brewers of which exist throughout New York City.

Perhaps one of the best-known breweries is the Brooklyn Brewery, which offers tours every day of the week. While the tour costs $10, individuals get to sample four beers, talk with brewing experts, and learn about the history of beer production in Brooklyn. Free tours are offered on Sundays.

Fans of hops should check out Other Half Brewing Company, which is a fairly barebones brewer that is quickly expanding. Many of Other Half Brewing Company’s beers are created using ingredients from local farms. The brewery is known for its use of hops. Even the Indian Ladder Farmstead stout has a kick of locally grown hops. Private tours are available and should be booked in advance.

On Chelsea Piers is Chelsea Brewing Company, which has a massive facility. Individuals should call to schedule a tour in advance and plan to spend lots of time in the tasting room trying the more than 20 beers made on site. Afterward, visitors can enjoy food in the Chelsea Brewing Company restaurant, which overlooks the Hudson River.
